802.11ac - single data stream on multiple channels?? - need clarification

A user posted this comment on a different forum:

" MIMO refers to the ability to split a single data stream over multiple, adjacent communication channels and requires more than one antenna "

Does this mean that with 802.11ac, single client can send data using multiple channels at once?

As an example, this means a user could send data for the same stream on channels 46 and 102? Please clarify. Thank you,
