I am attempting to configure HA across a primary and secondary data center. I am utilizing OTV in trying to stretch the controllers. I created vlan 3002 for this purpose. I am using a an interface hanging off a Nexus 2k on both sides. The 2k is a fex off a Nexus 5k. Here is my interface config.
int eth 151/1/23
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk native vlan 3002
switchport trunk allowed vlan 3002
With this configuration I am able to ping the peer redundancy port ip (169.254.154.253) from my primary unit having a redundancy port ip of 169.254.154.252. However, my Redundancy Summary on the primary shows "Peer State -- UNKNOWN - Communication Down.
My primary controller management ip is 172.20.154.250 (Vlan 1541). The secondary (redundancy) is 172.20.154.253. The interfaces on the Nexus switch the secondary controller connects to are both currently in "shutdown" state. Vlan 1541 is extended between data centers via OTV.
I am looking for assistance in why the Peer State will not establish in spite of the fact the redundancy ports are able to communicate.
Thanks,
Gregg

Please disregard my request. My configuration is working. I brought up the peer management interfaces and the two controllers successfully peered. I just hadn't given them enough time earlier.
