Hi there,
I have a router 867vae-w-e-k9 which is supposed to include the embedded AP but the interface wlan-ap0 is missing and in CLI service-module wlan-ap0 command is not recognised, so I cannot set up the wireless. The interface Wlan-GigabitEthernet0 is listed. Any ideas?
Thanks

Can you post the output to the command "sh run | i unified"?
06-22-2015 02:44 AM
There is no output. No "unified" in the running-config
06-22-2015 02:46 AM
Ok, post the complete output to the command "sh invent".
06-22-2015 03:02 AM

Ok, that's weird.
Can you reboot the router and post the entire bootup process?
06-22-2015 03:21 AM
Hi Leo,
Thanks for your help. I cannot reboot the router at the moment since it's in production and also at remote site.
Are you thinking of a hardware issue?
06-22-2015 03:25 AM
Yes. I am suspecting it's a hardware issue.
06-22-2015 06:52 AM
I managed to get the boot output:
C860VAEW advanced k9 platform with 512 MB of main memory
Readonly ROMMON initialized
... Building directory. Operation may take a while. Hitting Control+C during operation will require router reset.

H0ly sh1t, Batman!
That's one @#$%^&*!!-load of crashinfo files! And you're or someone is OK with that????
I'd upgrade/downgrade your IOS from a "T" train to an "M" train and see if that stabilizes the appliance.
06-24-2015 01:00 AM
Yes, the router crashes after every reboot but when the config is bypassed and then loaded all works OK. I'll try to install an M train IOS and see. Thanks for your help.
