9800 WLC -Mobility History - Run Latency

Good day.

I have a wireless network consisting of 9800WLC and 9164 APs

I have some users experiencing Whatsapp Dropped calls, and I have started looking at roaming, as the culprit.

I see under my client Mobility History under Run Latency the following values:

38ms  2021ms   17ms   60ms   50 ms   18ms   0ms  0ms  19ms

My questions are

  • What is an acceptable Latency to aim for ?
  • will that 2021ms  cause the call to drop ?
  • What does the 0 mean ?   (did that roam really take 0ms)

Also, I see a mixture of 802.11i Slow, 802.11r, and 802.11i Fast on the same SSID.   it also do not correlate with the times in ms,  so what do I make of that

Thanx

> 2 seconds is high so wouldn't surprise me if that caused a dropped call.
I've not looked that closely at the roaming but there's a newly published document which might help:
