Hello Experts,
We are a small org with mix of fifty Aironet 3702s and 3802s access points managed by 5508 dual controller in HA setup.
This summer we are planning to upgrade it with Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) running on Catalyst 9130AX access point.
Question 1: EWC datasheet says that it supports all 802.11c Wave1 and Wave2 Aironets, but doesn't list AP series. We would like to confirm that it supports Aironet 3702s and 3802s.
Question 2: Also, would like to confirm that active+standby HA controller configuration can be setup with two Catalyst 9130AX access points
Thanks you so much!

Look at Table 5 . seems like 3702s won't work.

I believe they support, i do not have in hand document one of the Cisco Live presentation have mentioned they support:
3700 wave 1 and 3800 support wave 2

Hi
Find below supported APs.
Table below lists all the images and corresponding AP models:
AP Model | Image File Name |
AP1815, AP154x | ap1g5 |
AP180x, AP183x, AP185x | ap1g4 |
C9115, C9120 | ap1g7 |
C9117 | ap1g6 |
C9130 | ap1g6a |
AP380x, AP280x, AP156x | ap3g3 |
Note: Only Cisco Catalyst 9000 series APs are capable of running EWC code. All other APs in the table above are capable of only joining EWC.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Sorry, if I didn't make my question clear. I would like to confirm if I can join Aironet 3702s and 3802s to EWC running on Catalyst 9130AX access point which is functioning in controller mode.

This doesn't seem correct as 17.3.6 and lower does seem to include 3700 AP's
It seems like "something" happened between 17.3.6 and 17.4.1 and since then 3700 lost support, maybe someone can elaborate on this
