Hi,

I am facing some problem to join my access point(AIR-CAP1702I-C-K9 & AIR-CAP1702I-D-K9) in 2504 WLC.

I have already configure as below:

1. Add two Country code for C(PK) & D (IN)

2. Management Interface IP address: 192.168.1.10

    Subnet: 255.255.255.0

    Default Router: 192.168.1.1

    Vlan Identifier: 0

     DHCP server address: 192.168.1.10

     DHCP Bridging Mode: No

3. I have create a DHCP scope in WLC and enable the DHCP proxy mode

But still the access point unable to join with WLC.

If i Use/point  the DHCP server in external to WLC then the AP is able to join.

I don't know where is the problem.

Please help me to solve the problem.

My requirement is simple. I need to join my AP and Client through WLC internal DHCP scope.

hi,

are the WLC and AP on the same native VLAN?

Yes, there are the same Network & subnet.

I have only one plane network.

On your management interface, make sure you have added the management IP address of the controller to the primary dhcp configuration setting. You have proxy enabled so you should be good.  I'm not worried about any compatibility issues since the AP's were able to join using an external dhcp source.

If you console into the AP check out the logs and see what you are getting.  Logs on the AP are really helpful when there are issues with AP joining the controller.  Are the AP's grabbing an IP?

Also does the AP even show up on the controller at all when you use the internal DHCP server?
