Access Point Power Injector Compatibility

I am new to the wireless world and have my first task, which is to determine if the power injectors used for a 1242 AP can be used for a 2702 or 2802 series AP. 

Please let me know if you need additional information.

if the power injectors used for a 1242 AP can be used for a 2702 or 2802 series AP. 

It won't work for the following reasons: 

1. 1242 power injectors don't have enough power to light up the new APs; and
2. Legacy power injectors will get "interrogated" by the new APs during power up and the AP will refuse to power up if the injectors are old.
