Is anyone using Cisco ACS in a mixed NT/Netware environment? I can authenticate using the NT database, but am unable to obtain access to Novell Resources. I can log into my NT account and get access to NT resources, but am unable to see Novell Resources. I am using Cisco 350 series access points and 350 PC cards with the most current drivers/firmware. I am using version 2.6 of Cisco ACS.

You cannot use ACS in a Novell Environment. It is documented in the available ACS installtion information that is included in the ACS software. You have to look very hard to find it. It originally took me 3...yes 3 calls to TAC to find this out in the spring of this year when I attempted to use ACS in a Novell environment. The only possible solution I could think of was to perform a directory replicaiton from NDS to Active Directory (I was using a Win2k box to host the ACS product). My customer could not get the required approval at his end to do that so now he has an expensive piece of software he cannot use!

Could you please tell me where (which document and if possible which page) describe this limitation. I'm really surprised to read that, because it looks like a trick!

I too had the same problem. Its true you can't get the Novell client to run properly with the ACS, but I was able to get Gateway Services for Netware to run just fine on a Win 2000 Pro. laptop. If gateway services is good enough, give it a shot.

Can you explain to me what it is exactly that you need to accomplish.
