Access to wi-fi network remotely

Hello.
I need some advice, please.

We need to connect to the network of an organization. I've been told that they are using a Cisco Controller Kit (quite old - installed in 2014).

They can provide us with a username and password, but we might need a key / certificate.

I was wondering, what is the best way to gain remote access? Would Any Connect be useful in this case?

Basically, we are going to install some devices on their site, connect the devices to their network We need remote access to the Wi-Fi in case we need to change settings on our devices and if they lose internet connection we can put it back onto the Wi-Fi without going there. Another option would be to ask them to create another Wi-Fi for us.

What are the steps, and what would be required from our side?

Thank you.

I think you should look at Cisco Remote workforce solution - OfficeExtend Access Points.

VPN will give you Wireless Controller access, but you can't extend wireless networks (SSIDs) over VPN to your AP for testing.

VPN (remote) access to a foreign network device on a client network is the responsibility of the client IT team.  while the OEAP is effectively a hardware vpn device it would put the 'device of interest' on your network and not the client network;

@Alexandra B the only solution for this is for your customer to have a separate circuit to manage the WLC (or any netwrok device you may need) using a separate router for that management access (something like a Meraki MX). With such configuration your customer can grant you access to the management network (if any) or to the service port of the WLC if they wnat to isolate you to only control the WLC.
