Hello,
I've got a Cisco 3702i running 2 SSIDs. 1 on 2.4Ghz and the other on 5Ghz, I wanted to add another 2.4Ghz SSID but I can't.
What I have:
dot11 pause-time 100 dot11 syslog ! dot11 ssid Area51-2.4Ghz authentication open authentication key-management wpa version 2 guest-mode wpa-psk ascii 7 **** ! dot11 ssid Area51-5Ghz authentication open authentication key-management wpa version 2 guest-mode wpa-psk ascii 7 *** ! no ipv6 cef ! bridge irb ! interface Dot11Radio0 no ip address ! encryption mode ciphers aes-ccm ! ssid Area51-2.4Ghz ! antenna gain 0 stbc station-role root bridge-group 1 bridge-group 1 subscriber-loop-control bridge-group 1 spanning-disabled bridge-group 1 block-unknown-source no bridge-group 1 source-learning no bridge-group 1 unicast-flooding ! interface Dot11Radio1 no ip address ! encryption mode ciphers aes-ccm ! ssid Area51-5Ghz ! antenna gain 0 peakdetect no dfs band block stbc channel width 80 channel dfs station-role root bridge-group 1 bridge-group 1 subscriber-loop-control bridge-group 1 spanning-disabled bridge-group 1 block-unknown-source no bridge-group 1 source-learning no bridge-group 1 unicast-flooding
If I go to the interface 'Dot11Radio 0" where my current 2.4Ghz SSID is I can't add another:
Dot11Radio0: Guest-ssid already existing on ssid MyNet-2.4Ghz
Do I have to create a new sub interface like 0.1 and somehow bind it to the BVI?
I have no idea.
Thanks

Hi,
Just enable mbssid under the radio interface and then you can add the command "mbssid guest-mode" under each SSID config. This will allow multiple SSID's to be broadcast from the AP.

yes, correct you need another subinterface to accommodate.
