Hi,
Im trying to add a cisco wireless access point AIR-SAP2602I-E-K9 to my wireless Lan controller
this is the basic info from the WLC
Product Version.................................. 5.1.151.0
RTOS Version..................................... Linux-2.6.10_mvl401
Bootloader Version............................... 4.0.217.0
This is the basic info from the switch side of it.
DEVICE SPECS : WS-C3750G-24WS-S25
version 12.2
Im not overly familiar with wireless cisco infrastructure. but after a bit of googling im thinking maybe this AP isn't compatible with this WLC but possibly could be flashed to work with it?
If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me a guide i could follow to get this working it would be much appreciated.
If you need any additional info from either device i can update it.
Thanks
E

It's futile. To run AP2600 your WLC should be running, at least, 7.2.X but your WLC is an old hardware that won't be able to support your AP. The final firmware the WLC can use is 7.0.X.X.

Thanks for your response,
upgrading my WLC is not an option at the moment so what would be the best AP to purchase that will work on my current WLC?
thanks again.

Read this: Software Release Support for Access Points
With 7.0.X.X firmware, the "newest" AP that your WLC can support is the AP3500.
