I have a AIR-AP1220-IOS-UPGRD and am wondering if there is a upgraded firmware or IOS that gives it the ability to do WPA/WPA2 encryption. We are trying to get PCi compliant and if these AP's can not do that then I will need to buy new ones.
Thanks

I will try to cover here 1220 and other ones:
WPA2/AES is supported on all 1240s in all versions.
As far as 1200s - AKA 1220/1230 (don't recall any "1210") - whether or
not they are physically capable of doing AES, hinges on what radios you
have installed in them. You need to have the 11g radio and/or the new
11a radio installed, not the 11b radio or the old 11a radio. (Sorry,
don't know part #s of the top of my head.)
As far as required code ... any aIOS or WLC code on CCO will support
WPA2/AES.

How do I tell what radio I have in them from the Web interface? I know I did upgrade the radios years ago to the 802.11G radio. If that is the right radio then when I go to the Security section of the radio I have turned on WEP with TKIP 40bit and AES+CCM. Is that considered WPA/WPA2?
