AIR-AP1562I-B-K9 - Medium Power

Hello,

I currently have 2 AIR-AP1562I-B-K9 APs in my Cisco 5520 WLC that show "PoE/Medium Power (25.5 W)" under PoE status. Pretty sure this is due to a PoE injector issue, but my question is, what effect does the AP running at this power level have? I'm struggling to find any documentation that states how this model AP operates at this specific wattage. Any insight would be very appreciated.

APs are on version 8.3.112.0.

If 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) is the source of power, the 1562I radios will shift from 3 x 3 to 2 x 2.

Leo,

I appreciate your help and response.

My wireless knowledge on that level isn't really there, I don't have a solid grasp on the concept of spacial streams.

Does this have a large impact on performance?

I cannot answer the question because a lot of factors can play on this.
