Set up SSID with WP2-AES on the 5GHz N and AC and can't see the AC beacon. With just AC radio on nothing shows in WiFi scan. When I turn on the N radio I see the SSID identified as N450. I can detect other SSID's that are AC1300 around me so why can't I get AC radio on this AP? This is an autonomous AP so conifg is CLI. Help understanding would be greatly appreciated.

If I remembered correctly, 802.11ac can only be enabled on WLC (not supported on autonomous IOS).

@Leo Laohoo is right! Any module is not supported on standalone mode AP.

The module shows up as dot11radio 2, can be configured and enabled both in CLI and via HTTP server. I can assign SSID and all the same settings that I can for the other two radios so what does the WLC provide that is missing?

Controller provides more feature than a standalone access point. The modules as an example is a supported feature with a controller. Seamless roaming and ease of management is what a controller provides.
