Hi community!
We purchased a "AIR-CT5508-HA-K9" to be a HA backup to our current production controller. Needed some assistance with the licensing required. Documentation for AP SSO says that you don't need any further licensing for the HA box when purchased as air-ct5508-ha-k9.
My concern is in other HA posts talking about this solution users that issue a "show license" get something along the lines of "cannot perform this action as it is an HA server"
When I show license on our HA controller it give us:
(Cisco Controller) >show license sum
License Store: Primary License Storage
StoreIndex: 0 Feature: base Version: 1.0
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, Not in Use
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Medium
License Store: Evaluation License Storage
StoreIndex: 0 Feature: base-ap-count Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted
Evaluation total period: 8 weeks 4 days
Evaluation period left: 8 weeks 4 days
License Count: 500 / 0 (Active/In-use)
License Priority: None
Should there not be some sort of HA-SKU license listed? Or is this all we need?
Also in a "show inventory" the PID come back as just a regular AIR-CT5508-K9 (no HA mentioned) - This may be the way it works but just wanted confirmation.
Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah.. I too had various opinions on what you should see, but eventually was told that as long as its an HA sku, it doesn't matter. What you see might vary from AP SSO to N+1 setup and if you enable the eval or not.
Thanks,
Scott

Just got off the phone with TAC.
If you purchase a "AIR-CT5508-HA-K9" the above license should be sufficient.
What you should look for to confirm your HA-only box is ready (HA SKU should be listed):
(Cisco Controller) >show redundancy summary
Unit = Secondary - HA SKU
