Hi,
I would like to connect two buildings with Aironet 1310 bridges. To get more performance and redundancy I would like to install two Aironet bridges on each side. Now Im looking for a solution for the load balancing to work. Here´s my question: Would it be possible to install a Cisco 876 Router on each side. I would connect one Ethernet port of the router to the internal LAN switch, one port to first aironet bridge and one port to the second aironet bridge. I would configure 3 VLANs on the router for intervlan-routing. VLAN1=internal LAN, VLAN2=Bridge1, VLAN3=Bridge2. What I not know is: Does the router support load balancing for the bridges? Does the router support the intervlan-routing? For backup reasons I also would prefer that I could use the ISDN port of the router to set up a dial connection if the Aironet bridges will fail. So the main question is, is this design possible and is it possible with the described hardware above. If it´s not possible I would like to know which hardware I need to handle the challenge. Thank you! Rouven

I don't think this will work, for the simple reason that you cannot bind an AP to one signle AP on the other side. If one of them gives a better signal strength would not the AP roam over to it?

UP!
I want have redundancy with 2 root bridge 1310 and 3 non-root bridge. Haw can i do?
For Load-balancing, i advided you to use 2 routers and 2 or more p2p line with load balancing by packet. You change hello timer to 1 second and you enabled cisco express forwarding. I do this and the result is very good.

i have two links between two sites for redundancy , but this customer no have routers.I try to connect via L2 (etherchannel) but etherchannel never sees the interfaces down although the dot11 radio was down. In your case, you need to configure the switch port to routers in mode trunk , supposing that it works intervlan in that model and using access-list to take a routing desicions.
