does aironet cisco 1572AC support stand alone mode? Specs say it will be supported in the future? When is that?

BB thank you for the link but I don't see anywhere about not requiring a controller. we want to deploy a single unit in standalone mode - without a controller.

The 1572 access point supports  Autonomous mode ( non-controller)  you would need to download the correct software, Here is a link https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286283419/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JPN.  you must have a valid contract to download the file
