Hey all!
I have a Cisco WLC 2500 with several APs connected and several SSIDs.
When a malicious person sets up a rogue AP with the same SSID as ours, I would like to be informed.
Where can I configure that an alert is sent out (maybe a syslog server) when an rogue AP is detected?
Thanks in advance!

I know you can get this sort of alert from Prime Infrastructure as it is one of the canned alerts for rogues. Since Prime does use SNMP, you can possible also use SNMP to get this information and then create some tool to send alerts. The WLC will not alert you on this.

Hey Scott, are you sure?
isn't there an easier method?
I mean, every cheap manufacturer of wifi components can send an alarm when a rogue AP is detected.
Would be a shame if that's not possible with the expensive cisco components ?!
Edit: I configured SNMP Traps
