AP-1832 join problem to 3504 Wireless controller

Hi.

I have a new configuration of one AP-1832 that I am trying to join to 3504 Wireless controller but it seems to be failing the CAPWAP join.

The AP is not visable from the controller.

See the output from the AP below.

Any guidance appreciated.

PS. What does "can't find the Ip from discoveryRequest array" mean?

check the onboarding process :

https://mrncciew.com/2013/03/17/ap-registration/

- Others to check, what is the version, is the AP matrix supported that version and model

- is the NTP ok ?

- Do you have Licenses installed in WLC.

- Do you have Option 43 to set

Post below output :

WLC

sh sysinfo;
sh time

AP

sh version

You need RTU license or smart licensing to cover the number of APs connected to the WLC.

Thanks for your reply.

The problem was that the license was in the "not-in-use" state after checking it by your recommendation.

License state: Active, Not-In-Use

Afterwards

License state: Active, In-use

Do you guys know what Cisco licenses are needed to operate one 3504 wireless controller and three AP-1832?

Is the license per AP?
