We have about 600 AP1832. They typically draw about 5-7 watt of PoE. Now we have had a few that suddenly draw 14-15 watt, gets hot, and then dies after a few weeks. Seems like a harware faliure. They are a few years old so no warranty left.
We cant find anything tcommon between the faulty AP's, they are not bought at the same time etc.
Someone else that had this problem? If it escalates, it will be a big problem for us..

Where did this hogwash come from?
Every Cisco COS AP, and the 1830 is no exception, comes with Limited Lifetime Warranty:
The Cisco Aironet 1830 Series Access Points come with a limited lifetime warranty that provides full warranty coverage of the hardware for as long as the original end user continues to own or use the product.
