We purchased new AP's 9120AXi and 9120AXE's. I used the cisco power consumption tool to determine if these AP's which are mgig capable will be able to work in our existing environment - we currently have 3560X and 3650 switches until we purchase the new swiches. Can you please confirm that the power consumption for the new AP's can be considered as a IEEE 802.3at Device - Class 3 (30W) device because the tool does not have them build into.
Also can you please confirm when the new AP's using mgig, are they still only using the same power. (30W) ? or is 30W per 1 gig per port?
We are in the process to determine which switches to purchased for access switches to accommodate the new AP's We are looking at 9200-48PXG-4X and want to make sure that the new AP's will work with the new switches we are about to purchase.
