AP c9130AXi cannot join WLC c9800-40

Hi everyone, 

I am unable to have my AP c9130AXi to join my WLC c9800-40. I defined the controllers IP statically and here is what I am getting:

Are you sure that the discoveries are acctually reaching the controller?

Hello, 

as stated by Chewbakka, there might be a general connectivity problem between your AP and the WLC. Can you ping from the AP to the WLC? 

Do you already have other APs connected to the WLC? What version are you running? Do you see any log messages related to this AP in the WLC log?

Are you sure c9800 code supports it? This AP model was introduced after version 16.12.2s.

If so, are you supporting AP country code?

Hi @JPavonM @Tony Rosolek @Chewbakka1,

So I didn't have any connectivity issues, APs can ping the WLCs and vise versa, it turns out and since the c9800 is an ios-xe, is not enough only to configure an SVI for the mgmt, you have to tell the switch the source of the CAPWAP discoveries and replies with the below command:

wireless management interface Vlanxxxx.

That resolved my issue, thanks everyone for your support
