AP doesn't show up on EWC

I have total of 5 C9120AXI-B access points and one is configured as EWC

Problem I have is that I cannot see any of the access points in EWC management interface. However; the other 4 access points are also broadcasting the WIFI from EWC since clients are connecting to the WIFI in locations that these APs are located. I cannot even see the clients connected or any other information in the management dashboard

When I wanted to setup the access points, I couldn't get them to update software through FTP server on the network. but I realized that when I build a network using a linksys router that I have, they are able to get software update and also dashboard sees them and joins EWC after software update was done. When I move them to the actual network which is managed by a fiber At&t router, all APs get DHCP IP address and work but I am no longer able to see them in the dashboard.

Can you please help me understand what I need to do in order to resolve this issue? (would really appreciate step by step instructions or a page that can explain the steps)

I tried to look into the router setting and see if I can create a VLAN to make sure all APs are joined through same VLAN but couldn't find any way to do that. Would really appreciate your input on this.

I feel there is a potential chance that one of the APs from that 4, might be acting as EWC (or you might be having a full fledged WLC in the network, where those have joined) and that is where rest of the APs are joined - since you said APs are broadcasting the SSID and clients are able to connect.
If you have SSH access of the rest of the 4 APs, I would ask you to do SSH of one of those APs and do -
AP# show capwap client rcb ========> This is where you will be able to see the WLC details where the APs are associated.

Now if you don't have the SSH access, then you can take console of the AP and reload it from switch. Make sure that you log the session in a notepad. In the console logs you should be able to see where the AP is sending discovery and eventually joining.

Once this part gets sorted, you can move this EWC (where you are not seeing any AP/Client) to that controller (where rest of the APs are).

@Saikat Nandy Thanks for your guidance. I did check one of the APs and apparently it is not able to join the controller. but the controller name and IP address it finds is correct

as I explained above, I am able to connect the AP to controller and also get the software updated when I use an old linksys router. but when i connect to actual network router (Att fiber router and modem) then I am not able to see the APs and also get the software updated...

btw, if I get the software updated once on the APs, aren't they supposed to work just fine and not needing to update the sw again?

Are the APs all at the same site and connected to the same VLAN @sharlpak ?
Do you have a DHCP server providing IP addresses for the APs?

Hi @Rich R

yes they are all in the same site. connected to one At&t fiber modem/router. they are getting the IP addresses through DHCP and by checking the router I can see all the APs and the AP/controller have assigned IP addresses.

How can I check if all are on the same VLAN? or how do I create a VLAN to put them all on one?
