I got number of AP showing the error message of " Timed out while waiting for ECHO repsonse from the AP" from WLC version 7.4.100,
I checked the POE switch is no power flappiing, checked the connectivity between AP and WLC seam ok...
My issue is client randomly cannot get DHCP on a WPA2 SSID, what we do is remove the AP and join back.
Please advice any tShoot Step I can perform?

I see your capture there.. I have to wonder is all your clients having this issue at the same time ?
Have you tried a client debug on a client having issues ?

HI George,
When the client connected to SSID, cannot get DHCP.
is the "Timed out while waiting for ECHO repsonse from the AP" Normal?
as for the debug client, still waiting for issue reoccur
05-25-2015 04:52 AM
so this doesn't happen all the time just randomly meaning your client issue ?
05-26-2015 03:42 AM
is randomly, but notice when the issue happen, AP is still associated to Controller.

Hi ,
Any luck? i also have same issue. From few days, we affected with this problem. WLC 2504 and different kinds of APs.
always one AP disassociate with WLC. worked well before. and no licensing issues.
Disconnecting reason is : Max re transmission reached for AP
connection failure : timed out while waiting for echo response from the ap
any help?
thanks

Check for a duplicate IP address.

HI Scott, Do you suspect AP IP address duplicated?

Anything is possible. I just want to rule this out.

FYI no duplicated IP address for AP segment. any info, or debug can help me isolate the issue?
