Hello Team,

we have three AP'S In a remote site.

All three WAP'S are disassociating with cisco wlc frequently.

when we checked using command show ap join stat summary, its showing AP'S last join error as echo failed.

what is possible reason as earlier there was no such issue.

(Wlc) >show ap join stats summary xxx

Is the AP currently connected to controller................ Yes
Time at which the AP joined this controller last time...... Sep 04 00:36:09.531
Type of error that occurred last........................... AP got or has been disconnected
Reason for error that occurred last........................ Timed out while waiting for ECHO repsonse from the AP
Time at which the last join error occurred................. Sep 04 00:22:50.682

That means that the WLC couldn't anymore talk to the AP.
This can be because of a bad connection or an overloaded one. How much latency do you have to the APs?
If they are in Flexconnect with activated office-extend, check it with 'show flexconnect office-extend latency '.

Hi mate,

It seems more of reachability issue.

You need to check your layer 2 - layer 3 connectivity between WLC and AP.

You can try and ssh to the AP as well and it will show you more info on the logs.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Raffy
