Hi,

I have a need to setup radio tags in CCX format and test them.

Is it possible to use a CISCO AP in autonomous mode to do this. If no, what is the alternative option?

I am currently using AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 model.CISCO lietarture says this model is now EOL. I need an AP to support 802.11/a and g at a low cost model and which is not EOL.

I would suggest going to either the 1130 series AP (probably the lowest cost IOS AP) next would be the 1140 Series.

While the AP can receive the tag packets you will need some type of location engine to capture and process them.

can your provide any other details?
