AP1100,Air352,WPA-PSK->I lose association

I have AP1100 w/12.3(2)JA2.

I have Air352 with new firmware and drivers on a XP, SP2 computer.

I run WPA w/PSK

After running well for 30min to 2 hours, we just lose the association for the PCs, one by one, at different times. We can reassociate by re-seating the Card, after a reboot of the PC or after disabling/enabling the client Adaptor.

The log on the AP records the following :

*Mar 1 00:37:22.095: %DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client 000f.346b.b6fe reached max retries, removing

the client

*Mar 1 00:37:22.096: %DOT11-6-DISASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Deauthenticating Station 000f.346b.b6fe

Reason: Previous authentication no longer valid

*Mar 1 00:37:22.813: %DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client 000f.346b.b6fe reached max retries, removing

the client

I would appreciate any help.

Maxretries is a normal notification message. This means max retries from the AP to the client. This happens when a client roams to another AP, shutsdown, or goes out of range. It is how the AP knows to purge the client from the association table.

I have heard reports of WPA/PSK not working properly on 350-NICs as well. I'd suggest opening a TAC case, as it appears to be a driver issue.

I'd suggest turning off the WPA/PSK per Rupert's memo - looks like the driver has a faulty implementation of the WPA.

Can you open a TAC?
