Hello,
I have a 6 floors building to equip with wireless.
After simple basic test, I guess the zone is covered with 3 AP :
--
6
--
5 AP
--
4
--
3 AP
--
2
--
1
--
0 AP
--
The router is on floor 0, I would like to avoid any cabling between router and AP in 3rd and 5th floor.
Can I put the AP in 3rd and 5th floor in repeater mode with root in floor 0 ? will this works ? do you have a better idea ?
Thanks for any help

Hi
when u go in repeater mode ur throughput is halved. So if you have few users then probably you can compromise speed otherwise avoid it.

Ok I see, speed is not a problem imo cause it is only for web & mail access.
Just want to be sure, can you have 3 AP with 2 repeaters like this :
R2 (5th floor) - R1 (3rd floor) - AP (floor 0)

Hi,
Thanks for your answer, I will try to check too but it's not easy cause my office is too small to not see the Access Point from everywhere.
It would be great if you can try.
Regards,
