We are installing new Cisco ap1232ag's to replace old 350's and 1100's and when the new ones boot up they fail during boot with with error on port "%ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY: Interface Gi1/42: inline power denied" which translated means "inline power request was denied because the switch does not have enough power left to support the request." could someone send me in the right direction.

Hi,

I feel that you are running A radio on the AP. I found a limitation with 1200 Series Access Points Running Firmware Version 12.01T1 which says switches with inline power do not provide enpough power for G radio to operate.

May be this is the reason the switch is not able to provide enough power for the AP.

You can refer to the followig link:

Thank you,

It is not supported, in my case with cisco ios, the A frequency draws too much power.
