We have two mesh access point AP1562E with AIR-ANT5114P2M-N attached each one.We use a WLC 5520 release 8.4.100.0.
The RAP AP register without problems. The MAP AP can not. This MAP and RAP AP they was added to the WLC5520 as Local AP first and then we change the radio role. After that we dissconnect the MAP AP from the network and power-on again with his power injector (AIR-PWRINJ6=) to emulate the remote side. (Ofcourse we addedd the MAC address of each AP to WLC)
The MAP AP was forced with IP 10.0.20.x/24 and IP of WLC with
capwap AP ip 10.0.20.x 255.255.255.0 10.0.20.1
capwap ap primary-base WLC_N 172.31.241.50
And then reload it.
Attached a network diagram and MAP and RAP logg file.

Hi,
I'm working on a pair of 1562s and they can establish a mesh link. I'm using one AIR-PWRINJ-60RGD2 (as I only have one) and DC for the other.
Looks like something wrong with the output of the PoE injectors.
From the RAP log,
Stopped Radio 0 Radio0 not started, not enough POE power Stopped Radio 1 Radio1 not started, not enough POE power
You can double check the 'Operational Status' of RAP's 802.11a/n/ac radio, it may be in 'Down' status due to not enough power.

but the RAP's IP is 10.20.74.21.
Should the RAP & MAP be on the same sub-net?
Hope this helps.

Luis,
As EW says, did you try changing the power injectors? Did you check if the used power injectors are compatible with that AP? (AIR-PWRINJ6)
In my opinion, the output power of these power injectors (AIR-PWRINJ6 and AIR-PWRINJ-60RGD2) is similar. Please EW correct me if it is so or not.
And the fact that it does not up the radio interfaces is not related to the IP address of the controller.

We are use wrong power injectors AIR-PWRINJ1500-2=
Testing with AIR-PWRINJ6= and radio interfaces comes up.

That would do it. Lucky that you checked the model number of the injector.

so the AIR-PWRINJ6 power injector will work fine with the 1562e? I am using them and can't get the controller to find my APs. I just want to verify that before starting down any other troubleshooting paths. Thanks.

Hi heartpyle02,
Do you solved the PoE issue with the 1562E??
Regards.
