Hi ,
I am facing one issue. AP9115AXI (access point) acquired IP address from DHCP. Confirmed with ARP table on switch.
But the command sh cdp nei detail - doesn't show IP address of AP.
AP not yet associated to WLC.
Any suggestion?

Make sure CDP / LLDP enabled where required on the switch and make sure CDPv2 enable :
example : (if this is cat 9K switches ?) - make sure AP got enough POE
#show cdp
Global CDP information:
Sending CDP packets every 60 seconds
Sending a holdtime value of 180 seconds
Sending CDPv2 advertisements is enabled
AP not yet associated to WLC.
is this only AP not able to join, or none of them joining to WLC
how is your AP onboarding methods , DHCP options, DNS, broadcast ?
best is console to AP and check the post the logs here from start to end to fail ?

- I don't think there is a 'requirement' from the switch to 'do that'
- As far as the AP joining process is concerned, post for instance the complete boot process of the AP ; mention controller type and software version being used and check the logs on the controller too ,

Maybe the AP was shipped with Mobility Express software?

Thanks for the responses. sharing info for more clarity.
switch to which AP connected: 9300L-48P-4X & IOS ver 17.09.03
AP software aplg7-k9w8 ver16.12.4.31 - AP doesn't have Mobility express software.
Power drawn: 24.100 watts
AP got IP address from DHCP.
Regarding WLC association , WLC is not yet deployed, will be done.

Hi, Unable to ping AP despite of IP allocated by DHCP. Can find IP against MAC in ARP table.
Can any one suggest why unable to ping from switch ? (L3 VLAN configured on switch, VLAN IP used as source for ping response from AP. AP connected to same switch. Tried both with ACCESS PORT and trunk with native VLAN.

- For starters try to ping the AP from a host in the same subnet ,

Like @marce1000 already said we need to see the full console log of the AP from power on to see what is happening (attach here as a .txt file rather than pasting in thousands of lines of logs). And then you can also use show commands on the AP to troubleshoot. Have you tried doing a factory default reset on the AP for a start?
What does your switch port configuration look like?
