Autonomous AP on WCS

Hi people.

I'd like to know if the autonomous AP spend licences when they're registered on WCS. I'can't find documentation about that.

The Answer is NO.  Because the License we use is for CAPWAP/LWAPP only.

Note: The only "benefits" of adding autonomous APs to WCS is to inform you if the AP is up or not.  That's about the most you can do (other than convert the APs from autonomous to LWAP/CAPWAP).

It is the same for Prime Infrastructure up to 2.2.  If you add Automonous APs to maps, you can have more visibility for your total wireless connections.  PI can also run reports such as "Autonomous AP memory and CPU Utilization, AP Summary, Tx Power and Channel, Uptime, Utilization, Busiest AP and total Inventory including Autonomous. You can push software and templates to the devices. Regards
