Autonomous CAP3602

Gateway Church

I have a 3602e AP that I have loaded the 15.2 Autonomous IOS onto.  I am just not familiar with configuring the AP from this gui.  Does anyone have a guide for configuring my wireless network.  Primarily I have the interfaces configured for my Vlans and my trunk to the AP is working, but I cannot get the SSIDs I have setup to broadcast.  It is almost like I just haven't turned them on, but I can't find where to do so.

try "mbssid guset-mode" under your SSID configuration  in CLI

Here is the current config if it would help.

I cannot see a default-gateway configured for this AP. Please check that & try

I don't want to have a system default gateway otherwise all traffic would tunnel through that single vlan. I would rather it be segmented.  Less holes in my ACLs.  I did enable IP Routing.  The delima I have is just getting the SSID to broadcast.

MBSSID guest-mode isn't going to help.

You need to remove the mobility network ID

dot11 ssid TEST
   vlan 40
   max-associations 50
   authentication open
   no ids mfp client

That command is/was for when you had a WLSM

And having a default gateway is for the AP to use so it knows where to
send it's traffic that is destined for something off net.  So if your
managment is from a different subnet than the AP you would need to have
it configured.

The client traffic is going to be bridged down to the VLAN that you
link to the SSID.

Good catch regarding mobility network ID, but it is still not broadcasting the SSID: TEST.

oh, guest-mode under the SSID.

I have a 3602e AP that I have loaded the 15.2 Autonomous IOS onto.

Stupid question:  What external antennas are you using for the 3602e?

AIR-ANT2524DW-R

Why?

Just want to make sure you installed a dual-band antenna.  I've seen a few posts with the same issue and it was because they throught that the AP has both internal and external antenna and the other post was he stuck an 802.11a antenna.
