Batch convert autonomous APs to LWAPPs

Hi team!

We have bought 125 of AIR-CAP2702I-A-K9/

it will be a nightmare to upload one by one lwapp ios on each... O_o

is there any option to convert them by plugging in Ethernet?

I have a DNS record of controller and DHCP pool with hex 43 option.

I meaning is there any possibility to force download lwapp and after they will auto join to WLC?

check the comparability with WLC - yes WLC do upgrade automatically when they join WLC

Sorry, but you misunderstand my question.

all 125 APs are with k9w7... 

1. manually convert to k9w8 one by one....dont want to...

2. any kind of batch procedure to convert them all from AUTONOMOUS to LWAPP

how they will join to controller with autonomous SW?

reset to Facotry - so onboarding process kick off, whem you plugin AP (make sure you have DHCP option 43 setup with controller)

Make sure to prepare a valid RCV file, like ap3g2-rcvk9w8-tar.153-3.JK6.tar.

Here are the steps to convert them to CAPWAP:  

1.  Erase the config:  write erase default

NOTE:  This command is important because it will erase the static IP address of the AP. 

2.  Reboot the AP and let the AP get a DHCP IP address. 

3.  Use this command to push the RCV file into the AP:  archive download-sw /reload /overwrite tftp://<TFTP_IP_ADDRESS>/ap3g2-rcvk9w8-tar.153-3.JK6.tar

so if i get you right, i need every autonomous AP convert to CAPWAP (lwapp) with same RCV as WLC aireOS

Autonomous AP cannot join to WLC and convert itself by downloading lwapp ios form WLC?

No possible.  

Autonomous IOS does not understand what a WLC is.

my fisrt post was about any kind of lifehack how to convert APs in a batch...not 1 by 1...it will take a very long time...
