FlexConnect and Local Mode depends on the requirement and where deploying. FlexConnect is typically recommended for branch or remote sites which has limited or unreliable connectivity, while Local Mode is suitable for scenarios where there is reliable and high-bandwidth connectivity to the central controller.

Important to consider network performance, reliability, security, and management simplicity when making the deployment mode decision.

I have some comparison done in Blog :

the key factor is ISP/SP
if you get high BW from the your ISP/SP then use local mode
if you have low BW then send the traffic toward WLC is not recommend (you will face a lot of drop) so we decide to use FlexConnect
Note:- sure if the AP loss connection to WLC it will be in flexConnect

Hello @dhikra-marghli8

Evaluate deployment size and autonomy needs – local mode for large centralized setups, FlexConnect for distributed control and autonomy.

Assess WAN resilience and security policies – choose FlexConnect for local switching during WAN link failures and localized security policies.

And yes, consider bandwidth from ISP/SP – high bandwidth favors local mode, low bandwidth favors FlexConnect.
