Maybe message these guys and see if they have or can make one for a MR42 https://coverandhyde.com/

I feel like some type of stretchy fabric would work well and not impede signal.

They look cool @simple818!

@simple818 Thanks

@simple818 I'm actually looking at the

33-MR53-COVER

Here:

@CotyMick I saw those but it looked like a metal box. But now that I read the spec it says they are plastic and don't impede the signal so may be fine. Would be interesting to test.

Hey team, a colleague and I just had this conversation with a customer recently. We found a local sign shop that does vinyl graphics & wrapping. They wrapped the APs for around US $30 per AP. It was for a zoo and they wanted the outdoor APs to blend in. Some where camo, some were brick pattern, some just matched the wall color. I’d search for local sign shops or someone that does vinyl car wrapping for example.

I did a couple quick searches and the stuff is fairly cheap and also looks pretty simple to do (depending on how much of a perfectionist you are!) Here’s someone doing a laptop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvSCkLNPb30

Maybe we'll see a video sometime soon of someone vinyl wrapping a Meraki AP?!?

@daviscot How would wrapping a Meraki AP in vinyl affect its warranty?

It appears the painting the units is indeed a semi-supported solution, albeit still voids warranty. Would be dead simple to tape off and spray...

It seems that the link has been redrawn/removed ..

How is Meraki's take on spraypainting the cover (non-metallic paint of course) of an AP ?

A safer approach is to cover them with vinyl since it can be removed. Check out:

Hi @Philip D'Ath ..

Or get somebody to do a spare-time project making covers/bags in Clan-colors ..

Can't be that expensive ..

I remember Batman saying to Mr Fox about the tumbler:

Does it come in black?

Hey team sorry I was offline for a few weeks and just checking back, I had to get through the 350-401 Cisco exam, failed it (by just a few points) 2 weeks ago and then got a solid pass 2nd time around yesterday, so I was neglecting the Community for a few weeks. 😁 @Thyge_dk the other answers are correct, technically speaking, you can certainly spray paint an AP with the non-metallic paint as you mentioned and it would likely work fine, but the warranty is void. I mentioned in another reply above about vinyl wraps, and yes they'll work great, and to my knowledge they do NOT void the warranty like paint does. That'll be your best bet to have the APs blend into the environment, vinyl wraps are effective, safe, and cheap.
