I have a 5508 on code 8.0.115.0
I only use (2) ports. The other (6) are empty.
I am getting alot of the following alarms for the empty ports via PRIME
1. Message: Port '3' is down on device '10.x.x.50'.
Failure Source: Port WLC-5508/3
(6 times)
This message is repeated for each unused port
E-mail will be suppressed up to 30 minutes for these changes.
I accessed the GUI and tried to disable the Admin status. I received the Failed to set Admin status
I accessed the CLI and tried:
(Cisco Controller) config>port adminmode 3 disable
Blocked: Lag is enabled. Disabling the lag port is blocked when system is in redundancy state (SSO).
It seems I need to disable LAG on these ports, but not sure how to accomplish that without causing a disruption to service. Any expert assistance would be appreciated!
