Can 2 Bridges (BR342) communicate when both of them are in root mode ?
Also if they communicate, how a client can be associated with one of the bridges working in root mode ?

If you are referring to having 2 bridges with the SSID the same, one must be ROOT and the other NON-ROOT.

Two bridges in root mode can communicate only over the Ethernet interfaces.
Either a root (I think) or non-root (definitely) bridge can accept client associations.

Maybe a silly question, if clients can associate to a non root bridge then what makes bridges secure?? I am aware of limiting associations via mac, and limiting the number of associated radios, SSID and WEP, anything else?
