C3850 as a controller

Dears,
have the APs to be directly connected to the c3850 switch??
not to another switch??
and if the c3850 none poe so what is the solution now?

If you are going to use a 3850 as a controller then you need to follow the guide. This is called Converged Access and will be going away just to let you know.

You are almost better buying a controller or else if your aps support this, use Mobility Express in which the AP becomes a controller.

If you don’t have PoE, then you need either an ac adapter or a PoE power injector.
