Hi

i would like to clarify the function of the pass-through port on the AP:

1.do you have to enable/configure it?

2.will it work even if the ap is off?

3. will it work on rj11?(the rj11 socket on the wall is coupled with the rj45 so if we install the ap on the utility box the rj11 socket will be covered by the AP.

we are using a C9800-40-K9 WLC FYI

  -  It's for connecting an extra device without network cabling . This can be particularly useful in environments
where network cabling is limited, as it enables the connection of devices like IP phones or other networked
equipment directly     through the access point.

Because it's passive  you don't have to enable or configure it. Because it is only wiring it will probably be working when the AP is off too.
It is not compatible with RJ11
