Dear all

Can i update NBAR2 Advanced Protocol Pack WLC to version 38 ?

I have WLC 5520 version 8.2 . I try to download NBAR2 on website cisco but it only have download version 24.

I would like to download version 38 it for suuport zoom meeting

Generally the engine and protocol pack version you get is built into each AireOS release - detailed at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/nbar2_prot_pack/40-0-0/nbar-prot-pack4000/nbar-prot-pack3700_chapter_010100.html

For some releases you can get an updated pack but it's limited by the engine version built into that version of AireOS. As you'll see from that table there is no update option for 8.2.

If you want something more recent then you need to upgrade the software and make sure it's compatible with your APs. (8.2 is very old)

See below for NBAR Protocol pack compatibility. You have to upgrade to AireOS 8.10 in order to get the latest protocol pack version 40.0. Till 8.7 you can upgrade protocol pack 24.0.0 as an optional upgrade.
