Hello,
Installed extra access points for my client and few of them doesn't want to work, they all connected with poe adapters, some work and some no. When I try to enable admin status I get error.
I tried to ssh to access point and all radio interfaces are admin down and there is no config mode to enable them.
WLC is: AIR-WLC2125-K9
AP: AIR-LAP1242AG-E-K9

Hi, thanks for suggestion, but I doesn't work, I tried in CLI but access point doesn't have config mode to manually enable interface.

Do you have enabled a European country for those APs?
Are the PoE adapters all the same models, or is there a specific combination of adapter/AP that isn't working?

Console into the ap also and look at the output. That will show you why the ap is not joining.

1. Note that the WLC and the APs are both very old and end of support.
2. Possible causes:
- not enough power
- country/regulatory domain mismatch as Pat mentioned already
- software bug or software compatibility issue
- AP radios dead (hardware failure) - no surprise given the age
- Are the APs fully joined - REG status - to the WLC? If not then you cannot make config changes. They might be stuck trying to download software in which they'll show DOWNLOADING status.
As Scott said attach a console cable to the AP console port and power on the AP then monitor all the console logs from the moment of power on. It will usually tell you why they're disabled.

I'm surprised that the 2125 is still working. You should also make sure that your license on the controller is adequate for the number of ap's you have.
