Wap200 router. In both safari and firefox, on the mac and pc, I get "connection has timed out" screen when entering 192.168.1.1 Any other way to logon to linksys router? I am hoping to increase or make changes to the signal. As it is now, the pc, just 45 feet away, has very poor reception.
Any help will be appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Have you tried rebooted it ? No kidding but with similar devices, it kind of happens that they still service traffic but the management GUI gets stuck.
Do you also get an ip in the range 192.168.1.x ?

Hello Nicolas.
When you say reboot, does that mean I hit the reset button? I have unplugged the router with no change. Being new to wireless, I am not sure what the ip question is.
Many Thanks.

by default wireless routers are usually 192.168.0.1, unless its modemrouter, will be 192.168.1.1
seen some wierd ones 192.168.1.254
if it doesnot help, turn off the power on router. press and hold the "reset" button/hole for some 30 seconds while you power up the router again. Try the IPs agaiin.
hope it helps.

Many Thanks for the assistance. I took the easy road and purchased a new wireless router.
All is good!
