Cannot ping between wireless clients

Hi Community,

I have 2x 1262 wireless autonomous APs, but clients connected to the same SSIDs cannot ping each other. Can ping local gateway and gateway of different SSID. Clients have internet access. Have tested on different SSID. Same result. Issue only appears to be affecting laptops, as mobility devices(ie phones on the same SSID are pingable). No ACLs present, have turned off virus checkers on laptops. No improvement.

APs are connected to 3750 switch and C118p provide layer 3 functions.

AP: model: AIR-AP1262N-N-K9

AP firmware:  C1260 Software (AP3G1-K9W7-M), Version 15.3(3)JD16, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Any suggestions are appreciated.

This turned out to be a issue with windows. Seems that disabling the windows firewall wasnt enough, there was a 2nd option called "windows domain firewall" that also need to be disabled.

In a Windows domain environment, that makes sense.

Whether you should leave Windows FW disabled is a different question.

If there's a need for external hosts to initiate contact with your Windows hosts, you also, I believe, have the option to keep the Windows hosts FW enabled but with FW rules permitting specific access.  Further, in a Windows domain environment, believe you can dynamically change FW client rules at the domain level.
