Hi, Under Access Points ---->Radios, there are four items. The first one is 5GHz and second is 2.4GHz, third is 2.4GHz and fourth is 5GHz. Please see the below picture. This ap is 3702, I can see the ap at item 1 and 2, but i cannot see the ap at item 3 and 4. I am not sure I understand the item 3 and 4 correctly. The item 3 is Dual-Band Radios and item 4 is Dual-5G Radios. Since the ap has 5 and 2.4 GHz, why i cannot see the AP at item 3 and 4?
Anyone can explain it? Thank you

Thank you Scott for your reply.

The dual band is when you have modeled installed like on the 3602/3702 AP’s.
Do you mean the dual band is the ap has 2.4 and 5GHz at the same time?

yes AP support both the band same time, as mentioned depends on the model.
So users can connect to 2.4 and 5GH depends on the client requirement.

Thank you balaji for you reply. This ap is 3702 which supports 2.4 and 5GHz. why we cannot see the AP info at item 3 when click on item 3(under Access Points ---> Radios-------> Dual-Band Radios)? There are nothing there when I clicked on the Dual-Band Radios. In what situation we can see some info of ap there?

3702 is a dual band AP. It does not have dual band radios. Each radio is separate and only supports 1 band.
Some of the newer APs have flexible radios which can support 2.4 or 5GHz - 3702 is not one of those.

These specialty field gets populated depends upon the extra radio-module from old APs, FRA config on supported AP models -the Dual-Band Radios and Dual-5G radios supported AP's radio gets populated when used and configured appropriately.
1)Ex: AP 3700 - Natively, it has two built-in radios 2.4 and 5ghz, the 3rd radio(WSSI,11ac-W2,.) can be inserted optionally through the module underneath this AP.
2)Ex: AP3800

Flexible Radio Assignment
Allows the access points to intelligently determine the operating mode of serving radios based on the RF environment. The access points can operate in the following modes:
● 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz mode: One radio serves clients in 2.4-GHz mode, while the other serves clients in 5-GHz mode
● Dual 5-GHz mode: Both radios inside the access point operate on the 5-GHz band, maximizing the benefits of 802.11ac Wave 2 and increasing client device capacity
● Wireless Security Monitoring and 5-GHz mode: One radio serves 5-GHz clients while the other is scanning the full spectrum for attackers, RF interference, and rogue devices
Dual 5-GHz radio support
Enables both radios to operate in 5-GHz client serving mode, allowing an industry-leading 5.2 Gbps (2 x 2.6 Gbps) over-the-air speed while increasing client capacity.
Note: In my WLC, for AP3800 -i observe native slot 0/2.4ghz radios populated under 2.802.11b/g/n, 3.dual-band radios ie., in both places. This radio can be used for other purpose(optionally) based on the config as suggested above.

I am experiencing a similar issue. I can’t figure out how to separate the SSID to separately support 2.4 and 5ghz. I have an AIR-CAP37021-A-K9 which has dual radio (802.11b/g/n & 802.11a/n/ac).
How can I separate the 2.4 and 5ghz band. Currently I have my 2.4ghz SSID radio policy as 802.11g only and the 5ghz radio policy as all.

This is not a "similar issue" - you should have opened a new thread.
Is your 3702 running autonomous IOS or connected to a WLC (lightweight/CAPWAP)?
If autonomous refer to the AP IOS config guide: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/15-3-3/configuration/guide/cg15-3-3/cg15-3-3-chap7-mbssid.html
If CAPWAP then what type of WLC and software version?
For AireOS: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-10/config-guide/b_cg810/wlans.html
9800 IOS-XE: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-9/config-guide/b_wl_17_9_cg.html
