Hello,

I bought recently CBW150ax and CBW151axm to improve my wifi network at home. In the AP the client user names are indicated as 'unkown'. I wonder if I can edit somewhere the username to something meaningfull for me.

Many thanks in advance,

Johan

  - I guess this would depend  on ,  if there are any authentication schemes used on the access points ,

Thank you for your reply. I can imagin that this is indeed the way to go. Only, I have been looking how to setup authentication schemes on my AP. Since I'm not that familiar with this stuff, I couldn't find out how/where to put this authentication scheme file. I read already a lot of Cisco documents but always I ran into another issue (i.e. setting up a CLI interface with my AP).

Is there a simple answer for this? Otherwise I leave it as it is.

Many thanks in advance,

Johan

I don't see any option to set the usernames.

Your simplest option for authentication is guest network - but you might find it irritating having to login to your WiFi though:

Other authentication mechanisms will generally require a radius server and/or external web auth service.
