I'm planning to change the management netmask of 6 HA pairs of WLC 8540 V8.10, and I would like to avoid a reload if possible.
Do you know if I'm only changing the netmask, am I still required to reload each ha pair for the change to take place?
Thanks,
-Dave

Hi
Think so:
"If you made any changes to the management or virtual interface, reboot the controller so that your changes take effect. "

"If you made any changes to the management "
Disagree. It refers to ANY change on the Management interface.

Yeah, I saw that Flavio, but on that case I believe that the guide shows that the IP was changed and not just the subnet mask.
Sounds like I need to test it first.

That sounds right, I will run a test over the weekend. Thanks for the feedback Miranda!

HA... that is something you will really need to test and come up with a good process. I would think you need to break HA to change the mask of the standby and then enable HA again.
