Hello,
I have a fabric network both on wired and wireless configured by DNA Center but because of internal DNAC problems I modify WLC manually. Both Wifi and Wired are in the same network. When my Laptop and Chromecast both are connected with cable and in the same network, Chrome could find TV. However when I put my laptop in Wifi Chromecast in cable it does not work. I checked with Wireshark no response for my SSDP discovery packet. I really need this to be configured as in second scenario as workers in my company in need for chromecasts.
The AP that I connect my laptop sits in different Edge switch than wired chromecast.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello,
Google Chromecast uses Multicast DNS and the services can be distributed and discovered when service source and receiver are in common Layer 2 broadcast domains.
Since your Google Chromecast devices are belonging on to separate subnets and possibly between multiple fabric-edge switches then this requires Wide Area Bonjour capabilities.
Feel free to reach out me if you need any assistance in implementing end-to-end Bonjour solution. In meantime, kindly refer to following URL providing supporting Deployment Guides, Configurations Guides and more:

I assume the problem is not with Multicast but with TTL=1 in chromecast discovery packet. I assume in fabric traffic between different switches are routed not switches so TTL=1 does no work.

Again, both laptop and chromecast sit in the same subnet. Only seperated by Fabric switches which use VxLAN for transporting traffic between. I think that can be a problem of VxLAN
