Hi, I've purchased a cisco 1702i AP. I need to use it as an autonomous AP and set it via it's onboard web server as I'm used to do with other "low cost" models and brands. Please let me know if it is possible and how to do it. I'm not sure the process is the conversione between CAPWAP or LWAP and IOS...
Please help.
marco.

You need to download the autonomous image from Cisco.com first
Then you can follow the instructions of how to get the image onto the AP from my blog:

to go from autonomous to lightweight you can follow:

Good morning Haydn.
Thanks for the info.
They're clear, but once I try to download the Autonomous image from cisco.com, it reply that I must be a Cisco partner to be allowed.
We are an HVAC manufacturing Company and not a Cisco partner of course.
I've reguarly purchased the1702i on a website.
Are there any possibility for a customer to download the firmware, i.e providing the S/N of the unit or whatever to get the Cisco authorization?
Many thanks.
Marco.
