ello Team,
Users are not able to connect to 5 GHZ radio and users are connecting to 2.4 GHz radio in the 3700 AP.
But there 5 ghz radio is enabled in the AP.
This is Airos wlc(5520) and AP 3700 model, users are in flex connect mode.
Also have a doubt the AP is mounted in between the AC duct and light in the ceiling, will this have any role in this.
Regards, Anjana

May be enable debug and check on the AP (if this is the only AP having issue ?)
Example :
#debug dot11 dot11radio1 radio-reset fail

- Check the status of the radios of the particular AP on the wireless controller

the radio is up

- Reboot the access point, immediately after reboot ,login to it and issue the command show logging , check if the boot process was normal and look for messages related to problems with power provisioning (if any).

1. Which AireOS code are you running?
2. Is the WLAN Flexconnect local switched or central switched?
3. What is the exact AP part number and which countries are configured in the WLC?
4. Ensure that the switchport is providing sufficient power to the AP.
5. Check the radio status by SSH in to the AP.
6. If AP with external radio make sure that all the antenna's are physically connected and positioned as per the coverage requirement.
7. AP installed location cannot be reviewed without a physical inspection and survey. You can check the channel utilization from the WLC, but it is recommended to go to the site where the problem is check from a professional tool like Ekahu SK. If required change the AP position.
8. Also confirm whether the clients reporting this issue is 5ghz supported. If possible try with different clients.
